Research
My current research is aimed to model the isotopic nitrogen flux from deep sea marine sediments. This fall I'll be measuring the Isotopic ratio of nitrate in pore waters from the south pacific gyre via IRMS and denitrifying bacteria, and attempting to model an explanation for why the isotopic ratio measured at the sediment water interface differs from what would be expected based on pore water data. My major professors iare Becky Robinson and Art Spivack.
