“Tell me and I forget, show me and I may remember, but involve me and I will understand.”

Teacher:
Audrey Kampper
School:
Cranston East High School

Audrey Kampper has been at Cranston East High School for the past 13 years. She is a certified Biology and General Science teacher, currently teaching Anatomy and Physiology as well as Physical Science. Audrey believes that teaching is the opportunity for continual learning and growth. In her opinion, to become an effective educator, opportunities must be seized. She loves that the Rhode Island Teacher At Sea program will help her carry out this philosophy of teaching. Her husband has been a fisherman for over the past 30 years and Audrey enjoys traveling with him on his work skiff. Audrey believes the most important educational outcome for her students is to help them develop a better understanding of the ocean and human influences upon the sea.
