Yes, operations involve the rigid placement of three geodetic-quality Global
Positioning System antennas. Two are mounted on the mast, separated by 10-20
m and one aft about 10 m. The tolerances placed upon the rigidity of this
mounting permit using New Horizon, Revelle (and like ships), but exclude using
the Melville and like ships.
In addition a specially designed hydrophone will be mounted in the instrument
well.
