Other Special Equipment; Comments:
----------------------------------
Seabird 9-11 plus system needed onboard w/24 bottle rosette and SBE 43 oxygen
sensor (plus a suite of spare C, T, and O sensors on board).
We require an XBT launch system on board, and would also like an XCTD launcher
available as well if that's possible.
We will require two Guildline salinometers onboard, a primary plus a spare.
As the CTD casts will be providing the salinity, temperature and oxygen
calibrations for the mooring systems, we require the primary sensors
(C, T, and O) to be calibrated shortly before the cruise as well as
shortly afterward.
We will be recovering 16 moorings, so winch and A-frame also needed.
We will need a CTD tech on board, and 2 res. marine technicians to support
24-hour mooring recovery ops. plus intensive CTD ops.

Are there special considerations of the science party or cruise scheduling?
Consider science time constraints; coordination of equipment shipping;
two-ship operations; weather windows; mooring turn-around; teaching schedules
and others that will affect scheduling decisions.
-------------------------------------------------
The timing of this cruise is quite constrained because of the battery life
of the releases and our science requirement of obtaining 2-year timeseries.
The recovery cruise must begin no earlier than Jan 15, 2005 and no later than
Feb 15, 2005.
