Are there special considerations of the science party or cruise scheduling?
Consider science time constraints; coordination of equipment shipping;
two-ship operations; weather windows; mooring turn-around; teaching schedules
and others that will affect scheduling decisions.
-------------------------------------------------
A fair weather window is critical for the safe deployment of the SeaBED AUV on
a daily basis, and we are requesting the window of May-June 2004 (between the
winter storm season and the Hurricane season).

Other Special Equipment; Equipment Requiring Special Handling, Storage or
Installation; Comments:
-----------------------
An Elac 1180 portable mul;tibeam system will be leased for the survey and
mounted on the starboard side of the ship.
The SeaBED AUV developed at WHOI will be deployed daily.
Some refrigerated storage space is needed for the cores that will be collected
