Other Special Equipment; Comments:
----------------------------------
We will bring a trace-metal-clean CTD/rosette system on conducting Kevlar line,
and will need a to mount it on deck and get power to it.
If the Thompson is not available for the time periods requested, another vessel
would be acceptable if it can take a science party of at least 27 and has
laboratory space and winch capability similar to that on the Thompson.
This proposal also involves W.M. Balch (Bigelow Lab.), M.A. Brzezinski (UCSB),
F. Chai (U. of Maine), R.C. Dugdale & F.P. Wilkerson (SFSU), R. Feely
(PMEL-NOAA), M.R. Landry (Scripps) and C.I. Measures (U. of Hawaii).

Are there special considerations of the science party or cruise scheduling?
Consider science time constraints; coordination of equipment shipping;
two-ship operations; weather windows; mooring turn-around; teaching schedules
and others that will affect scheduling decisions.
