Are there special considerations of the science party or cruise scheduling?
Consider science time constraints; coordination of equipment shipping;
two-ship operations; weather windows; mooring turn-around; teaching schedules
and others that will affect scheduling decisions.
-------------------------------------------------
We are relatively flexible in our time frame, as noted in the 20-30 day range
of alternate dates noted above.

Other Special Equipment; Equipment Requiring Special Handling, Storage or
Installation; Comments:
-----------------------
We will bring an sediment-core X-ray system approved by the LSU radiation
safety office. This unit is most safely operated in a radiation van, but can be
used in a lab area, because it is shielded. This is the reason the van box is
marked abot: we will NOT bring any radioactive materials.
We would like to use the LUMCON spade-type boxcore, and will provide our own
CTD's, gravity cores, and piston cores.
