Are there special considerations of the science party or cruise scheduling?
Consider science time constraints; coordination of equipment shipping;
two-ship operations; weather windows; mooring turn-around; teaching schedules
and others that will affect scheduling decisions.
-------------------------------------------------
Timing of cruise is crucial in order to recover sediment traps after 12-month
deployments. Therefore, recovery and redeployment of traps each June is
essential.
We are also coordinating our deployments to follow physical oceanography
cruises each May.
