Are there special considerations of the science party or cruise scheduling?
Consider science time constraints; coordination of equipment shipping;
two-ship operations; weather windows; mooring turn-around; teaching schedules
and others that will affect scheduling decisions.
-------------------------------------------------
Both the Endeavor and the Hatteras must be scheduled for the same time slot.
Our objective in 2005 is to survey a strong plume-- and based on
historical river flow data this is 2-3 times more likely to occur during the
optimal dates we have chosen than during the alternative dates.
