two-ship operations; weather windows; mooring turn-around; teaching schedules
and others that will affect scheduling decisions.

We will need two medium UNOLS and one small UNOL vessel for a coordinated
effort to continuosly monitor fish populations over wide areas in the Gulf
of Maine The time window of the cruise must coincide with the National
Marine Fisheries Annual Herring survey in the Georges Bank. This occurs
at the end of September through the beginning of October to coincide
with the relative short time window over which herring spawn.
