We are already funded by NSF MIP (MCB 0604084) for a 2007 Sproul cruise and a
2008 Sproul cruise to Santa Barbara Basin. Thus, if this is funded, and if the
start date is honored by NASA, we can obtain necessary samples on the NSF
funded cruises. However, if the start date is delayed, we will need at least
one more cruise, which is why we are listing it on this form. If a cruise is
needed in 2009, we will need MC800, Soutar boxcorer, UNOLS shared-use cold van,
science refrigerator, science freezer, -80o freezer, CTDO2 with Niksins, etc.

if necessary.
