Research
My current research focuses on examining the causes for decreased primary production in Massachusetts Bay and if these signals of decreased production have transcended into other trophic levels and biological parameters. This work is in conjunction with the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority on their long term monitoring project of the recent relocation of Boston Harbor's sewage outfall.
Other work consists of measuring primary production in Narragansett Bay through calculations of in situ measurements of oxygen from the recently established fixed-site buoy monitoring system.
