Instrumentation & Technology

In order to address new scientific questions, instrumentation must be developed which can make measurements at the required critical scales. Prototypes are often developed by the investigators themselves, sometimes in partnership with a private business. Below are links to information on some of the instruments used in Critical Scales and Thin Layers Research.

Bioacoustical Instrumentation - BAE SYSTEMS, D.V. Holliday

ChemPak, submersible chemical instrumentation - SubChem Systems Inc., A.K. Hanson

East Sound Wireless Network Project, T.J. Cowles & N. Potter

WET Labs, Inc. - underwater optical instrumentation for measurement of absorption, attenuation, scattering and fluorescence - Moore & Zaneveld
