Areas of Specialization

Research

My research focuses on the use of seismic reflection to interpret seafloor geomorphology and investigate sea level regression and transgression on the Crimean shelf, with a particular interest in the early Holocene inundation of the Black Sea. I specialize in processing chirp sub-bottom seismic reflection data along with multibeam and side scan sonar to locate underwater archaeological sites and examine geological features on the seafloor. My other interests include bathymetric mapping and navigation, marine archaeological surveying and the interpretation of submarine landscapes.
