This small, unadorned, site is intended to provide access to the following:

1. Information on the Fish Sounds Collection. These are the recordings of 153 species of fish from the Western North Atlantic compiled by Marie P. Fish and William H. Mowbray.
 
 

2. A series of short articles for a lay audience on bioacoustics and underwater sound that originally appeared in the GSO publication Maritimes.   These are a good way to learn a little about sounds in the sea and how they are studied.
