Today we had the pleasure of working with Sarah Gulick and Erin Finicane – two filmmakers from the National Park Service producing short films at Parks within the Northeast Region, including Fire Island National Seashore. Specifically, the films document the research by the National Park Service, University Partners (including URI-GSO), and other organizations looking at the ecological, biological, and geological impacts of Hurricane Sandy with the goal of collecting data to help manage park resources for the future. We had the opportunity to showcase our work, why it is important, and why we love what we do – it was a fun day! Many thanks to Sarah and Erin!

After a long day of work, we were greeted by a beautiful sunset. Hard to beat this!
