Areas of Specialization

Research

Lucie Maranda's research interests include ecology, life history and physiology of dinoflagellates. Current emphases are the study of relationships between the population dynamics of Prorocentrum lima, a toxin producer, and shellfish contamination; regulation of mixotrophy in marine protists; and treatment of ballast water to control the introduction of invasive species.
