"I teach Marine Biology and Biology, both are full year classes.  I grew up in the state of Iowa and came to Utah on a wrestling scholarship.  I graduated from Utah State University and received my Master's degree also from Utah State University.

"I have been lucky to work as a research field scientist in various capacities.  I have been to Antarctica, the Tropical Pacific, the Amazon, the Arctic circle, Mexico, Uruguay, and Costa Rica with various science studies.

"I believe in students; they are our world's future.  I love sharing my research experiences and ultimately sparking a young person's interest in becoming a Marine Biologist.

"I believe I do have the BEST job in the world. Teaching curious kids, lecturing worldwide on cruise ships, going on world expeditions, and living in the great state of Utah.  Life is good!"
