URI GSO at the 2012 Ocean Sciences Meeting

From February 20- 24 2012, over 4,000 people will attend the 2012 Ocean Sciences meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. This biennial event is an important venue for international scientific exchange across broad marine science disciplines, including physical, biological, chemical and geological oceanography, as well as multidisciplinary topics. Presentations will include emerging research on the global ocean and society, including science education, outreach and public policy. The Ocean Sciences Meeting is sponsored jointly by The Oceanography Society (TOS), the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) and the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
A significant contingent of URI GSO faculty, staff and students will be presenting their research to an international audience. A number of GSO scientists are also serving as session organizers, including Igor Belkin, Dan Codiga, Peter Cornillion, Barry Costa-Pierce, Katherine Croff Bell, Percy Donaghay, Rainer Lohmann, and Gail Scowcroft.
