Areas of Specialization

Research

Ecological aquaculture (the transdisciplinary - science to management) of ecologically designed aquatic food/water/energy systems, including investigations of their social ecologies (anthropologies,ecohistories and the roles of aquatic foods in societies); Cage aquaculture systems with an emphasis on their interactions with marine and large lake ecosystems, with a special interest in the ecological interactions of culturing aquatic animals with low/no feeds, using biofloc and detrital microbial technologies, and developing bi-culture cage systems.
