Research

Currently I use satellite SST and altimeter data to map out the Loop Current in the Gulf of Mexico. The identification of the Loop Current and other warm features within the GOM will be used to calculate the ocean heat content related to historical hurricanes in the area. This information will then be used to give a better statistical understanding of hurricane intensity.
