Research

Paul Hargraves's general research interests include phytoplankton systematics, ultrastructure, biodiversity and natural history. Recent research projects involve biodiversity of microalgae and harmful algal bloom species in the Indian River Lagoon system, Florida. Research is conducted at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute [as Affiliate Research Professor] and the Smithsonian Marine Station [as Research Associate], both in Ft Pierce, Florida

As an Emeritus Professor, Paul Hargraves co-teaches Marine Global Climate Change at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute of Florida Atlantic University

Outreach

annual public lectures as part of the "Ocean Science Lecture Series" at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute.
